In an unmatching but extremely functional Reed & Barton Brown Leather presentation case.

All pieces are 24 ct gold plated, with the knives being half silver plated.

Beautiful chasing and decoration to the edges and base of each piece. All fully and properly marked.

Very Art Deco in form, design and style but probably made circa 1960.

The “Château de Malmaison” near Paris was the favorite residence of Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress Josephine. The palm and lotus leaf frieze and the symmetry of the decoration are typical of the Empire style, which was largely inspired by Antiquity.


Christofle is a goldsmith and tableware company, founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christofle.

The company is known for having introduced electrolytic gilding and silver plating in France in 1842. The company was bought in 2012 by one of its shareholders, the Chalhoub family.
