Pair of 19C Louis XVI Style Side Tables

PRESENTING a matching Pair of ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 19th Century Louis XVI Style Side Tables of very high quality.

This pair of matching side tables or console tables are just STUNNING.



Made in the late 19th Century circa 1880 and despite not having any makers marks are most definietely in the style of the top French Makers of that time like Francois Linke, etc. The ormolu bronze mounts are very detailed and of the highest quality.

The tables stand on 4 legs each tipped with an ormolu bronze tipped foot. The front legs have further ormolu mountings on the upper section and again on both sides in a very detailed floral ormolu mount.

The handles are likewise of very high quality with bouquet ormolu mounts to the rear.

There is an extendable shelf on both sides of each table with ormolu knob for resting a drink or book etc.

Made of harewood and kingwood with sunburst patterns throughout.

Satinwood stringing throughout.

Each table has 2 front drawers each with an ormolu escutcheon.

GORGEOUS patina all round.

Provenance: From an Oklahoma Private Collection.

Dimensions: Each Table is 32″ Wide with the side leafs in and 50.25″ Wide with them extended.

Each is 32.25″ Tall and 15.25″ Deep.

Condition: Some repairs, as one would expect, over the years, but the repairs are not very noticeable as you can see from the photos. The ormolu mounts have been re-gilded and look great. Otherwise in super original condition.
